Dear Paul and Tamarind,
Via Google I came across your website of the - absolutely stunning
- animation you together made for El Salon Mexico. I searched
for info about the song as the orchestra I play in is organising
a concert on the 2nd of April with the theme 'Hasta la Fiesta
- música de Latinoamericana' where we a.o. play this beautiful
piece of Aaron Copland.
To tell you something about the orchestra, the Koninklijke Harmoniekapel
Delft (Royal Delft Wind Orchestra); we're playing in the highest
division of wind orchestra's in the Netherland (yes we're Dutch
:-)!) and this concert is our yearly theater-style concert in
the cosy theater of Delft, the Netherlands. Next to El Salon
Mexico, we also play Danzon no. 2 (by Marquez), Innuendo of Queen
and some Latin-american pieces. Overall it's a great program,
and more info (and poster/promo movie) can be found on our (Dutch)
website: www.harmoniekapel.nl
Now the big question is, if we're allowed to show your animation
behind the orchestra while playing El Salon Mexico? We would
love to make the concert more visual as well, and this animation
just fits this purpose perfectly! We wanted to have your approval
before ordering the DVD as we have a limited budget but if possible
want to spend it on the broadcasting rights!
I'm really looking forward to your answer!
Best regards,
Thijs Perenboom
